The fiery colours of the autumn leaves made the images from this session feel warm and cosy. In actual fact it was a typical Canberra winter morning: subzero overnight temperature; frost on the ground; soft light filtering through the trees; a very cold breeze; and the promise of spring around the corner when we stood in the warm sunlight. We photographed big brother when he was in an obliging mood, a few times throughout the session. For the rest of the time he enjoyed sword fighting in the sunshine with his dad while we enjoyed photographing mum and her beautiful belly.
A surprise awaits - will it be a baby brother or sister?
